Tigers Pay it Forward

Mar. 18th, 2021 - On Monday, Nomura Academy partnered with Hawaii Tigers Baseball Organization to host a baseball event for the local youth baseball community. Current HT Players helped run the event.

The high quality baseball workout spanned two hours at Annex Field in Aiea. The event featured 6th & 5th graders from Punahou, MidPac, Saint Louis, Kaimuki Middle, Manana Elementary, Momilani Elementary, Pearl City Highlands Elementary, and Gus Webling.

Participants were taught our long toss protocol which helps develop sound mechanics that build arm strength and velocity. We then ran them through defensive stations which consisted of infield, outfield, and power pitching fundamentals. We concluded with a 9-out drill that provides tons of game situations.
